Evaluation
Today I have completed my evaluation of my products (CD cover, poster and music video). I evaluated it using the following questions;
"How do my media products use, develop and challenge forms and conventions of real media products"
"Overall how effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary products?"
"What have you learned from your audience feedback?"
"How did you use media technology in the reasearch, planning, construction and evaluation stages?"
I will check the evaluation for any spelling/grammar error and then post it.

Video
This is a complete video, with no gaps or broken clips like in previous drafts. I have aimed to make it as proffesional as I could. I will ask my target market for any feedback on what they think needs improving.
Poster 4
This is my fourth poster draft. I took my feedback into consideration and added tour dates to the poster. I will now ask for feedback to see whether my audience prefer it with or without the tour dates.
Final back cover
This is my final back cover, asking my audience they felt my back cover was fine, so the only thing I added was the island records logo to make the cover more conventional.

Front/Back Covers
This is almost the final drafts of both my front and back cover. To make it more conventional I added an image of the artist, but chose to fade it so it wasn't so prominent. However I noticed that the producers logo was not on the back cover. I will check for final feedback and make small adjustments in order to create a final draft.

CD Draft 4
From my feedback I found that my audience felt the main issue with my CD cover was that the colours weren't quite striking enough in the image to make them want to buy it. Therefore for this draft I chose to edit the image (contrast and saturation) so that the colours will stand out more, as the hair and the lips do now. Next I will gather final feedback to see any changes I need to make for the final products. Depending on the feedback, I feel that the font text needs to be more striking, as now the colours are brighter, the album title especially fade into the background and are not noticeable.

Video draft 2
This is a second draft of my music video, I fixed the majority of the broken clips, I also added some transition effect such as fades so that the video wasn't so sharp and jumpy. Also from looking at Andrew Goodwins theory, one of the points was a link between lyrics and visuals, so I added a 'changing colour' effect when the lyrics said "I start spinning slipping out of time, was that the wrong pill to take" as this could symbolise taking a drug and the effects.

Inspiration
Whilst editing my music video, I'd found some gaps in filming where a thought different techniques could have been used to make it look more interesting. During my original research, I found Coldplay's video inspiring due to the 'stop motion effect' they'd use in their video. Because of this I decided to research stop motion videos to see if I could use it effectively in my video, when I came across this video, which was directed by Kris Moyes. He uses a lot of great and innovative ways to represent each word of the song, the movements and transitions are done quickly and effectively. Before completing another draft of my video I am going to experiment with different ways of representing different words in my video to see if it gives as good effect as in this video.

CD Cover Draft 3
After changing the effect of the writing on the poster I decided to change it on the album cover so that it has a continuous style. From the last draft I decided to revert the image back to full colour as I thought the black and white effect didn't look very conventional or professional. However I still don't think the cover look as a professional CD cover would. I will again ask for feedback and use my research to improve my cover further.

Poster Draft 3
This is my third draft of my poster. My feedback said that the colours were quite neutral and bland so I edited the contrast and saturation so that the colours were brighter. I also moved the text around to see if this improved it's look. When asking my target audience I asked if there was anything I could add to it, in terms of next and the majority said that what I had was just enough, however a few people said tour dates may improve it. So for my next draft I will try this and ask for feedback before making my final draft.

CD Cover draft 2
This is the 2nd draft of my CD cover, I took into account the feedback I got from my first CD and tried to improve it so it looks more conventional. I made the the image black and white but left the lip red so that they stood out and linked into the text colour. I will next ask for target feedback in order to generate a third draft of the cover. Meanwhile, I will continue to edit my music video, to generate a second draft.

Target Audience Feedback
After asking 20 of my target audience about their views on my first draft CD cover:
Advantages:
Advantages:
- "I like the photographs, the artist has good eye contact making a connection with the audience.
- "The colours work well with the image"
- "The fonts reflect the style of music well"
- "Although the colours match colours on the images, some parts of the words are difficult to read."
- "The image could be more close up to make it more conventional"
- "The image might look good in black and white"

Poster Draft 2
This is my second draft of my poster, After I asked my target audience for their views on my products, I decided to add effects to the fonts so that they were more appealing to look at and so that the poster didn't look so 'flat'. I added effects such as embossing and shadowing. I also moved the text around on the page to see if that improved its look. I chose to keep with the same image as it links in with the other products also, I like the eye contact and the earthy colours in the image. I also asked my target audience whether I should add more text to my poster (such as tour dates) however the general response was that this would make it look too 'busy'. Again I will ask my target market for their views on the poster in order to improve it further.

Back Cover 3
This is the third draft of my cover. My feedback said that the background didn't link into the other products and so I chose to change it for this draft, to a gradient so that it still wasn't plain black. I also added the producers logo to make it more conventional. I will again ask for feedback so that I can improve it further.

CD Back Cover draft 2
Using Photoshop elements I made a background with the stamp tool, as my feedback said that the plain black background was too boring and not conventional. I also noticed i'd missed common conventions of CD covers, such as the barcode. I also havent put on the producers logos however, I will research this and add it to my next draft. I will ask for further feedback so I can improve it further.

CD Disc
This is a first draft of the CD disc, I used a similar picture to that on the poster and CD cover so that I could continue the house style. Although this was not a planned product, I will still ask for target feedback in order to improve the product.
